Siam Square and around

Siam Square is enormous and there is so much to find. It is divided into numbered parts and I have to be truthful I do not know the difference. The location below is for Siam Square One and there are a great amount of alleyways outside and other places to visit. Here are some TripAdvisor Reviews and Bangkok.com are just two. Here are just some of the photographs;

Lots and lots of places to buy shoes.

Unfortunately Shark Fin is still popular here...

A petting zoo - now closed...

The Scala Cinema has a great DVD shop at the front...

And so much more - I could not mange to be able to list it all - but take a wander about and you will be surprised what you will find...

Pratunam market area

Pratunam Market is a shopper's paradise - there is so many places around here to by clothes it is amazing. Platinum Fashion Mall was the first one I visited - but I would have to add that they do all look very similar.

Floor and floor of clothes. There was air-conditioning inside and more markets outside.

And more bits and pieces - a shopper's paradise.

I did find a Cafe Amazon to wait in though and I was not the only person in there waiting.

Terminal 21

Terminal 21 is another enormous shopping mall in Bangkok.

I have to admit that I am not sure of the reason to go in this one rather than another?

They are all a bit different so I would imagine that it is a personal choice which one you visit...

This one is Asok so it is easy to get to from the BTS.

Phone Number: 02 108 0888

Siam Paragon

Siam Paragon is a popular place for shoppers (with money) and it has everything it.  There were dinosaurs when we visited first.

The next was for Christmas.

Then it was time for Harry Potter.

We always go downstairs though - lots of places to buy some food - and all the places are not expensive...

Then there is Sea Life on the Basement Floor...

Central Embassy

Central Embassy is an enormous place to go shopping and there are an enormous amount of very expensive shops.

Not sure which coffee shops I have visited there - Dean + Deluca is my personal choice...

I usually go thought there to get to Central Chidlom or visit the coffee shops, visit the clean toilets and worth a visit in the rain.

But they do have special displays on - SUPPORT, a painted jaguar and snowballs to name a few.

Amongst the list of places to visit there is a Harrods and there are a great many more.

Pu Fai Chinese Temple shop

Pu Fai is a wonderful shop around the Suriyadej Traffic Circle in Phuket Old Town - but they are initially for people to purchase particular items for their homes and offerings to make in the Chinese Temples.

It is a small shop adjacent to the Pop Hostel - where I have had a cheap breakfast once whilst I was waiting for a bus home...

I always make a visit into these shops purely because I am always welcomed by the proprietors and they are fascinating places BUT they are places where a lot of items are for sale which have a particular significance - so please respect.

However this MUST not stop you entering them however - but please be aware that to treat the shop as a 'tourist attraction' would not always seem correct...

Then you can visit any of the great number of Chinese Shrines scattered through Phuket...

Platinum Fashion Mall Market

Platinum Fashion Mall is certainly somewhere to visit if you like to go shopping for some clothes. We go here for clothes for our daughter - and there is a great amount of choice.

In fact there are 5 floors of things to go shopping for - which is more than enough.

Well what do they sell? Well so much I can hardly begin to start.

The Platinum Fashion Mall is an enormous building which seems to go on forever in each direction.

There are small 'booths' selling the clothes and I was surprised at the amount of different clothes that they had on sale. We did not find the 'label' clothes and I have a feeling that this was not the right place.

I did think that the model with this was a little 'exaggerated' and then I wonder who actually buys this underwear? OR have I never...

There was other things for sale as well - a bit strange.

We got here by taking the river taxi to Pratunam which is also another enormous shopping mall to got to - but that's another day...
