Walking Routes in Bangkok 3 - Thon Buri




Route Three of the Walking Routes in Bangkok.

Stop 1: Uncle's Noodle Restaurant - this was very busy with the locals

Stop 2: Wat Arun Ratchawaram Rathchaworamawihan OR Wat Arun - The Temple of the Dawn - this is such a beautiful place and has recently been renovated

Stop 3: Bang Luang Mosque - an impressive place to visit

 Stop 4: Wat Kalayanamit Woramahawihan - wow, next to the river and an enormous bell and a very big seated Buddha

Stop 5: Mae Kuan Yin Shrine ศาลเจ้าเกียนอันเกง - a Taoist Temple, next to the river

Stop: Baan Kudichin Museum - a museum and coffee shop devoted to celebrating the ancient Portuguese area


Stop 6: The Church of Santa Cruz - a Catholic Church built in 1770

Stop 7: Wat Prayunwongsawat Worawiharn - with a very large whitewashed stupa

Stop 8: Guwatil Islam - unfortunately it was closed for renovation

Stop 9:  The Princess Memorial Park - it was not open when we visited

Stop: Chao Pho Suea Shrine - a small Chinese Shrine


Stop 10: Wat Anongkharam Worawhawiharn

Stop 11: Wat Phitchaya Yatikaram Worawhawiharn - is a glorious temple and nearly empty!
