Phuket Town - Art Galleries

Phuket Town is slowly getting more organised and new places are springing up all over the place.  We have lots of coffee shops, new restaurants and now there are a number of small Art Galleries.

These photos are from Phang-Nga Road in Phuket Town.

I have bought some Art from a Chang Mai Market but that is as far as I have got - but Phuket Town is looking more and more interesting.

Phuket Indy Market

This is something for the younger people (from 13 to 18) - Phuket Indy Market is on a Thursday and a Friday in Phuket Town - from about 5 pm.  It is set up next to Lemongrass in Phuket Town and next to the Sofa Disco on Thalang Rd.

There was a plethora of different things to buy some which were handmade AND / OR trendy and there was also second hand clothing available.

Nai Thon Beach

Nai Thon is one of the most deserted beaches on the west coast of Phuket.

Not many tourists set their foot on this beach.

The pace of development at Nai Thon is much slower than at the beaches further south.

In comparison with Patong it looks like an almost deserted beach. The
sea is crystal clear, the sand is soft and will make a squeaky sound while you walk.

In low season the beach is deserted - as you can see.

Lanta - Foot Massage and Fish Spa

Well you have to try it once at least - the fish OR the foot massage -
not my 'cup of tea'.

In Patong there is a market opposite the Hard Rock - great buys, at the back near to the make-shift carpark there is a massage and fish spa.

Lovely staff and worth a visit to relax from the traumas of Patong.
Don't forget the 'Pink shop' at the front of the market with the D*D's...

Visit Jungceylon in Patong

Jungceylon is an enormous shopping plaza on the second road back from the sea.  It is part air-conditioned and there are a plethora of places to go shopping.  The advantage of shopping here is that there is a choice NOTE: but there is only haggling downstairs.

Why else do you visit Patong, apart from shopping (for anything that you imagine) except Typhoo tea bags, lemon juice, pirate DVD's....

Jui Tui Chinese shrine

This Chinese shrine is placed situated on Soi Phuton Road - on the same road as Natural Restaurant.

This shrine was also used in part of the Baba Festival.
