The Corrections Museum was somewhere that I had read about in Bizarre Thailand so it was definitely worth making an effort in getting there.

BUT I did not go because unfortunately it is now closed - the image is from Bangkok.com.

The Neilson Hayes Library

Tried to visit the Neilson Hayes Library last week and take back a book which my father had not returned twenty years ago (joke) only to find that it was in serious need of repair and they were asking for money.

But missed the Cafe until I was leaving...

Phuket Floating Market (closed)

Phuket Flaoting Market was opened in May 2016 and it wasn't quite finished when we visited in August - so it may have been finished since then.

The market (I believe) is actually built in one of the lakes that the Tin Mining left Phuket when it was no longer used to mine the tin. So it was a good idea to use it.

However this means that it is not like the Floating Markets that you may have visit in Bangkok however. I think that the market is actually floating but tethered so there is very little feeling of it floating.

But the best thing about it was that there weren't many people there yet so it was simple to walk about and there were no crowds coming off buses (yet).

There really wasn't anything different that you could buy in the Weekend Market but it was certainly more comfortable. But in turn this made the prices higher.

I add here that there was a tip on foursquare that it was closing early and at 7pm 80% of the shops were closed...

A Bag Spa and Cafe (closed)

I was hunting for a coffee shop in Phuket Town whilst my wife was having her hair done and came across a Bag Spa - now I did not know that these were actually what the title was - a Spa for your Bag.

No I cannot believe it! So guess the reaction in an English Lesson at work when I was told how wrong I was!!!

Then told that how good they were...
You do not wait from them to do it - no 'while you wait' you will have to book it!
