Phuket Garden Hotel Buddhist Shrine

Well I have to admit to being a lover of wandering around Phuket Town but I was not prepared for this.

The Phuket Garden Hotel - we did not walk in but there was a Buddhist Shrine adjacent to car park.

The Buddhist Shrine was obviously taken care of and it was a pleasant thing to find BUT I have got no idea about the hotel?

Weekend Market - Food

The Weekend Market is a place where you all should visit if you are in Phuket during a weekend. There are any number of reasons why you should visit and this week I am sharing with you the amount of food that there is for sale here - probably why the Weekend Market is so popular with the locals and the Tourists alike - the amount of food for sale.

Of couse to be a sensationalist you should try to have a few bugs to eat but that is not the only choice for you to have - there is an enormous selection.

Pieces of animal - prepared in a plethora of ways.
Japanese Sushi - any number of different choices.
Cakes - a lot of them.
Satay.
Fresh crab, squid and fish.
Deep fried potato twirls.
Miang Kum
and a lot lot more

The Weekend market opposite Wat Naka is open from 16:00 until 10:00 each Saturday and Sunday.

Sapan Hin - more

Sapan Hin is a place that I have posted about previously in the Cape Panwa blog and in this blog.

This area is popular with the locals and we do not see many tourists - there has been a Por Tor parade, a Vegetarian Festival blessing, a fair, a mangrove walk, a Chinese Shrine, a fresh food market, a musical fountain, a boules competition, a park, a Naval museum and more.

Today we found that behind the Teaching Establishment is a children's playground (adjacent to this is a Geocache), next to this is where you can learn ballroom dancing and next to this is a Tennis Court...

If you visit foursquare there are a plethora of things which happen here.
