Phuket Aquarium

A mere stones throw from the Cape Panwa is the Phuket Aquarium and the Marine Biological Centre.

In 1983 it underwent extensive renovations and they change a number of displays and they built a small tunnel tank that you drift underneath – amazing. Along with that there a multitude of different fishes in a multitude of tanks, stingrays, groupers and massive groupers – have a look.

Don’t forget to visit on the Feeding times on Saturdays and Sundays!

The entrance fee is still minimal, an adult is 100 Baht and a child is 50 Baht – if your child is below 108cm they are free - so Jemma does not have to pay - but she soon will have to.

Don't forget to ask very politely to visit the Phuket Marine Biological Research Station- the last time we visited there was an enormous turtle which had been rescued.

Also there is a Nature trail.
