Dino Park (3)

Dino Park was our choice of destination today.

Well - daddy's golf is not quite what Jemma wants and I am not sure either so it was the dinosaurs again

Forgot to write down the price again but i do remember that there is a 'shop' on the corner of the road up the hill that sells 'hmmmh' DVD's...

Dino Park

"Daddy - want go see dinosaurs and golf"

Dino Park is our choice of destination today.

My daughter is three and this place is high on her priorities along with the elephants, monkeys and gibbons - but not quite as high as the butterflies and NO i am not trying to teach her to play golf - i even refuse the score cards but the cold towels are a nice gesture.

To pay when you get there I think that it was 240 Baht for an adult and 180 for a child but forgot to write this down - guess we'll have to go again, my daughter won't mind.

Dino Park - again

With the number of times that we have visited here with Jemma I am surprised that the desire is do strong from her to go BUT go we do and enjoy it.

This week we went with our friends Olivier and Mantana - we went to the Butterfly Garden release with them in 2011 and they came to Jemma's 5th Birthday Party.

It was great fun - not sure about real golf though!

Dinosaur Planet

Dinosaur Planet is somewhere to visit if you need to see some dinosaurs. It is not very big and we went with promotional discount tickets - we would not pay full price for this!

The front with the dinosaur footprints was pretty cool - but them it was as if the developer lost interest or ran out of money.

There was a wheel which gave you a high view - but the rest looked like it was falling apart - and we had to pay for this extra to the entrance fee.

Then it was time to see an exhibition - it was quite nothing.

Then the 3D - then we had realised that we had seen it already...

Found we had seen this already - not inspiring

We did not wait for this

My daughter loved the action park and she must have been in 5 times!

Digging was a lot of fun for them.

Then it was time for some candy floss...

Dino Park (2)

If your child likes dinosaurs then this place is wonderful.  We do go by the local bus and pay direct to the company but there are a number of agencies who will book for you.

For my daughter and I the bus is entertaining and not expensive.

Karon Beach

This is a beach that we have always enjoyed because of it's proximity to Dino Park Mini Golf Course and of course a Starbucks.

The sea front is very long and it will take a big effort to walk from one side to the other - if you are looking for a bit of exercise than this isn't a bad idea.  I have posted here previously of the red flags which are posted but in November there are no red flags and the beach is really quite lovely.

Okay the beach does get busy at times but this is dependent on the busy hotels near to the beach - there are quite a few. Karon beach is also a destination for a great many tourists on motorbikes.

Lately there has been an increase in the number of people selling Flying Lanterns in the evening to any of the guests which are still on the beach.

We always enjoy visiting this area but we like to buy of the street stalls and they are not always there? You are able to buy food from the sellers on the beach but I do not know where they go to get the food because it is not prepare on the beach - but this is common to many beaches in Phuket.
