A Sino-Portugese house, Khao Yam Dim Sum and exercise.

A Sino Portugese House reconstructed, a park next door and a fab Dim Sum Restaurant opposite - Khao Yam.

The Sino Portugese House has recently been reconstructed and Jamie has some great photographs

There is also an exercise park around the lake - which is  very popular in the early mornings and the afternoon.

Around the house they play Takraw in the afternoons -
not sure if this hurt when he came down?

Then the car park is sometimes full of people and aerobic exercise and others simply run around the lake.

Ocean Shopping Mall

Ocean Shopping Mall is a building housing a number of different products for sale - there are a lot of places to shop in Phuket.

The ground floor resembles a standard shop for clothes - there seems to be an inordinate number of labelled clothing (not premier label) and there never seems to be anybody buying very much.

There was a coffee shop at the front but that has gone - what is left at the front (on the left) is a Mister Donut and a Watsons (a Thai pharmacy). There is of course a cinema next door and more shopping!

If you go upstairs however then what is on offer changes dramatically!

We chose to come here for Jemma's nails to be painted and what a good job they did!  The best was a plethora of little toys for sale!

Then there was a smoking bong?

Then there were guns - not firing bullets? but...

Hair extensions, false eyelashes - big eyes and so much more...

wow - how about trying this one?

Borae local market 2014

The Borae Local Market has undergone some changes in the last year, what was a small market is now much larger one. The road alongside Klong MuDong has been lengthened.

The market is no longer a set of tables out up every afternoon but is now a number of constructed settings where each person is able to set up - and there is a roof.

Of course there are all the things that you want from a local market - and more.

It stays open quite late as well!

A football area has now been built at the end of the road.

A restaurant has also been made larger - we have been but as I write this I have forgotten it's name.

Don't forget to visit at sunset because you might see the sun setting over Big Buddha - there are a number of places which are good for this in Phuket - but there aren't any tourists here.

What excites me most is the talk of building a bridge across Klong MuDong so we would have direct access to a number of restaurants in the area across the river.

I have posted about the Borae area previously
