There are a number of Chinese Shrines in Phuket and I have not visited them all.

มูลนิธิกุศลธรรมภูเก็ต - A Chinese Shrine and more
มูลนิธิกุศลธรรมภูเก็ต is a Chinese Shrine which I first visited to make a blessing for my birthday. Since then I found out that I visited here when I had an accident in the Phuket Vegetarian Festival 2012 - they are also a place connected to a Hospital.
This Shrine is technically not a Chinese Shrine, looking at the descriptions it is an attached place of worship to the Hospital, Association and the School adjacent to it.
The Shrine is on the outskirts of Phuket Town and is set back from the road. There is a car park in front, on the left is the school and then in front is an open Shrine. So I would treat this like a Shrine but it is not referred to as a Shrine in the Internet guides and in Foursquare but I will.
Walking in you walk through an open door where you are able to purchase donations to the shrine - this is necessary (remember to take off your shoes as you enter).
There is an opportunity to shake the sticks here, ring the bell and make a donation.
The Shrine downstairs is an electric version - these are becoming more common. Then take the steps up on the right hand side - and them later down on the left hand side.
When you walk upstairs the Shrine is similar but upstairs have conch's / blocks to toss.
The Shrine is open to the outside and people will ask for blessings out here into the distance - apparently it is not necessary to have an Idol if this situation exists.
The top shrine has a second place for asking for blessing, shaking the sticks and ringing a bell.
The third shrine is also an electronic shrine but I am happy that they do not have a money slot and seem to be the same. Noticing the small cups of Chinese tea in front I would imagine that taking care of the Shrines is an intense job - thank you.
Interestingly (for me) I found that there were idols which had cloaks on and they do not normally have cloaks on - I would imagine that this is similar to when the Buddhist images are 'dressed' at a particular time of the year?
My favourite are the icons which are draped with necklaces - reminding me of the necklaces that I always hope to get given during the Phuket Vegetarian Festival.

มูลนิธิกุศลธรรมภูเก็ต (Chinese Shrine and more)
มูลนิธิกุศลธรรมภูเก็ต is a Chinese shrine which I have visited previously and I thank you all for the help that I received from you all. When I visited the location on Foursquare it is actually referred to as a Spiritual Centre and Emergency Room.
This Chinese Temple, as indicated previously, may not be exactly a Chinese Shrine but on foursquare it is referred to as a Spiritual Centre and Emergency room - but it is a certainly very interesting Shrine to visit. It is physically next to a local hospital to which it is connected to - we visited here after a Phuket Vegetarian Festival - we 'sponsored' a coffin here on my birthday!
มูลนิธิกุศลธรรมภูเก็ต is also near to the long which runs to Sapan Hin so this means that it is certainly an interesting place to visit.
There is a large ground floor to the shrine - which is all open which means that there is so much to see.
There are two steps up to the next floor - the left and and to the right. If you want to enter the Chinese shrine with respect you should always remove your shoes before you enter and then Wai the ground floor shrine.
Then take the stairs on the right and then come down the stairs on the left.
Upstairs is another shrine similar to the one below and then opposite it there is a small concourse and a smaller shrine which is also used - it is a popular shrine to visit.
Then there is a traditional 'plinth' upstairs where they usually welcome the spirits during the Vegetarian Festival - but I have never seen it here.

ศาลเจากวนอ บานนาบอน - Kuan U Chinese Shrine and Historical Site
ศาลเจากวนอ บานนาบอน shrine was somewhere which I visited only because we were going somewhere else. It can only be have been completed in the last three years but I am not sure.
My first thoughts are WOW!
It is clear that it is relatively new and the colours certainly do show this!
I entered into the Shrine and one of the most beautiful things is that it is clear (especially when looking at the other ones that this is relatively new). (The most different thing that I can see from my first visit was that if you enter into the Shrine - remembering to take of your shoes - you will see something different at the back!)
Outside of the Shrine has the normal pieces of architecture.
The place where the 'Lantern is raised' at the beginning of the Phuket Vegetarian Festival - the link is for Bang Neow Chinese Shrine.
Then where offerings are burnt and I have never spent so much time looking at them (maybe it was because it was new).
A metal container to collect all the burnt crackers...
After managing my initial excitement of never being in such a new Chinese Shrine I began to click my telephone everywhere! It was only when I got home that I realised I had taken so many - so there will be a Part 2 and 3.

Bang Rak Chinese Shrine - ศาลเจ้าเจียวเองเบี้ยว
Bang Rak Chinese Shrine - ศาลเจ้าเจียวเองเบี้ยว is somewhere that I came across when I as traveling to the Chao Phyra River.
As I was getting off the MRT I noticed that there was a Chinese Shrine in the heart of Bangkok. I slowly walked in - it was certainly a traditional Chinese Shrine as there were people at a table outside reading what I think were Chinese Newspapers.
The courtyard was large and the temple inside looked very dark - stepping in very carefully over the threshold I entered inside - it was peaceful inside.
The sun came into the Shrine in some places and created some beautiful effects - and then people came into the shrine to make a blessing and I had to stop.
The widow looked wonderful.

Kiew Tian Keng Chinese Shrine
Kiew Tian Keng Chinese Shrine was (when I first wrote this blog) a small quiet Chinese Shrine at the South end of the island in Sapan Hin.
Since I wrote this I have found out that Sapan Hin is a thriving community and is embraced by all the local people - then it is where the finale of the Vegetarian Festival is, popular for food fairs, a Chinese Shrine Tour and even once a year is part of a Motorsport Rally!
The beauty of may of these Chinese Shrines is the upkeep of them - they are always being tended when I visit. Actually the only time I see the dirt is when the figures are returned to the Shrines after taking part in a Vegetarian Festival parade!
The outside of the shrine has recently taken delivery of a number of large stone Chinese figurines.
Then there are the hanging bells which are very common in Buddhist Wats as well. Start at one end and then ring each bell in turn and this will bring you good luck and a blessing.
After this you can enter the very carefully adorned shrine (remembering to remove your shoes) - we visited on a very special day where there was a number of prayers being chanted by these two people dressed in white, something that I had not seen previously and not seen again.
We shook the sticks - Jemma love to do this - and then we threw the Moon Blocks (or Bwa Bwei 擲筊 Divination Blocks).
After this we lit the Joss stick and then stepped outside and burnt the paper offerings.
It was here that you find an enormous Female Chinese statue of the Goddess Guanyin and the beauty of this is that there is a building devoted to her and not what I normally see which is a part inside the shrine.
After a short prayer and the lighting of more incense we left to visit a local restaurant - รานสมตำเมองคอน สะพานหน - for some fabulous local food (review coming here).
